Windows 7 Runs Faster than Vista

Microsoft has released its newest operating system-Windows 7.  This new operating system succeeded Windows Vista which fell beyond expectation.  Definitely an improved operating system from Microsoft, Windows 7 is much faster than Vista and more.
A lot of good reviews have been given to this newest operating system by Microsoft.  Where Windows Vista has failed in performance and speed, Windows 7 is now known to be doing well.  Those who are experiencing this operating system are almost one in saying that Windows 7 is much faster than Vista and in fact, the fastest operating system by far.
Here are some of the plus points of Windows 7 as against Windows Vista:

  • Real time comparison shows that Windows 7 boots faster than Windows Vista.  Start-up time for Windows 7 is more than a few seconds quicker than Windows Vista.  This is because Microsoft has seen the need to start-up services that are actually “on demand”.
  • Installation of Windows 7 is heaps quicker than Windows Vista.  While it takes approximately over an hour to install Windows Vista, it will only take about 30 minutes less to install Windows 7.
  • In practically all aspects of performance from booting time to launching applications to shutting down, Windows 7 is much faster than Vista
  • Windows 7 displays an enhanced archiving performance against its predecessor Windows Vista and higher than Windows XP.
  • Although there’s not much difference when it comes to bandwidth memory, Windows 7 is still an improved version of Windows Vista and Windows XP.
  • In terms of user interface, all the distinct features of Windows Vista have been tweaked and enhanced in Windows 7 – some subtly; others massively.

For instance, how to connect to a network is simplified in Windows 7 to avoid confusion and easily locate the network you are connecting to.  Users do not need to go through the list of network connections just to be able to connect.  A list is automatically provided in a single click and users do not have to scroll or move the mouse to select the network.

  • Backing up files is a breeze with Windows 7; you can conveniently choose what files to back up and where you would want to save the back-up files.
  • Security features are enhanced with Windows 7 like extending the encryption not just to the files in the hard drives but also to those in portable devices such as the USB.
  • Owing to the good documentation of Windows Vista’s errors and problems, Windows 7 came up with a better version that addresses almost every hitch and glitch of its predecessor.  Basic operations such as copying of files were greatly enhanced.

Side by side with its predecessor, Windows 7 is a hands-down winner over Windows Vista.  The latter failed miserably compared to its then predecessor, Windows XP, so it’s not always that a succeeding operating system is better than its predecessor.
Known for its high performance, this is what makes this newest operating system distinctive: Windows 7 is much faster than Windows Vista.  It can also be said that all that Windows Vista is not, Windows 7 is.
